Overview
Menopause is a totally natural process that effects every female and therefore at least 50% of the population but the frequency of conversations and understanding of menopause are way too low. There are pockets of good information out there to be hunted down if you know where to look, as well as plenty of very easy to find claims about products and treatments that are a guaranteed cure for symptoms! So, it’s no wonder anyone gets more confused by this when they search for support, especially a female who’s struggling with her own menopause transition, maybe feeling like she’s struggling just to get through life, never mind even thinking about how she can get back to thriving again.
Let’s start with symptoms. There are currently 34 identified Menopause Symptoms
Allergies, Anxiety, Bloating, Body odor, Breast pain, Brittle nails, Burning tougue, Depression, Difficulty concentrating, Digestive problems, Dizziness, Elecric shocks, Fatigue, Gum problems, Hair loss, Headaches, Hot flushes, Incontinence, Irregular heartbeat, Irregular Periods, Irritability, Itchy skin, Joint pain, Loss of libido, Memory Lapses,Mood swings, Muscle tension, Night sweats, Osteoporosis, Panic disorder, Sleep disorder, Tingling extremities, Vaginal dryness, Weight gain.
More symptoms are being considered as menopause research tries to catch up and these are both physical and psychological (frozen shoulder anyone?!) These symptoms can show from the earliest perimenopausal phase so even when women are still having periods and don’t often realise this can be the start of her menopause transition. One of the challenges is no two menopause experiences are the same as each female is unique, so is her transition through menopause. This is why the menopause plan I coach is totally individualised so it’s super relevant for that person.
Whether her perimenopausal symptoms are well known and physical ones like hot flushes, night sweats, sleep difficulty or weight gain, or if they may be linked to cognitive issues like brain fog or memory loss, feelings of anxiety, low mood as well as a loss of confidence or lack of sex drive, the Menopause Plan explores her own experience. I provide dedicated time to listen to her and to support her, to understand without judgement what’s actually going on for her during her menopause transition.
The Menopause Plan is a holistic approach as menopause doesn’t happen in isolation from the rest of her life and so it impacts work, relationships and existing lifestyle choices as well as her approach to medical intervention too. We cover all of this in our coaching conversations as part of the Menopause Plan as this is real life. This is why we spot the incremental gains that can make all the difference to symptoms and to managing this transitional phase of life. Any decisions my clients therefore make are congruent and in line with their values. My clients and I create tangible, relevant ways to better manage her menopause so we get her life back on track, unstuck, un-paused. Moving towards thriving again instead of merely surviving. Being coached by myself through the menopause plan will take her from the confusion of ‘is this menopause?’ And instead make her feel ‘me no pause’!
Menopause coaching for employees and in the workplace.
The impact on the workplace due to female employees struggling with their peri/menopause transition is considerable. This is seen in performance terms as lower productivity, increased sick absence, regretted losses plus increased recruitment backfill costs too. It is these regretted losses that drains this business of valuable experience and often will reduce diversity and lower the gender balance even further, meaning fewer mentors are available too. 50 year old + females are the employment group that’s growing the fastest with 75 – 80% of menopausal women in employment. 1 in 4 of these will experience physical and/or psychological symptoms so severe she needs tangible support to maintain normal work performance. Some of this will be start to be mandated in the Employment Rights Bill with changes being made from 2026.
This is where Sam‘s menopause coaching solves these pain points as the Menopause plan is delivered either as 1 to 1 coaching or as group coaching, which can be up to 8 participants. This creates a supportive and knowledge sharing community in the heart of your workplace, which is a lasting effect created by their coaching experience.

Understanding You
We begin with an informal, introductory chat to understand what you are experiencing not just physical symptoms but psychologically and perhaps professionally too. It’s an opportunity for you to talk and be heard, exploring how we could work together and discussing the outcomes you’d like to achieve.

Beginning your Menopause Plan
Session 1 includes content to deepen your knowledge of what menopause is and what’s going on to your body to create the changes you may be experiencing and we will set specific goals to achieve as you identify the steps you can take to achieve these yourself.
03.
Completing your Menopause Plan
Session 2 through to session 7. We continue to explore different elements of menopause and how these impact your life, continuing to understand the reasons why these changes affect you, identifying incremental changes along the way for you to apply to achieve your goal.
04.
Review your Menopause Plan
As agreed at session 7, we have the opportunity to review how your progress has embedded or indeed progressed further since plan completion and an opportunity to create some additional goals.
